We're here to help.
With the news of SunPower Corporation's bankruptcy proceedings, Maxeon wants to answer questions and concerns regarding warranty support.
If you own a SunPower residential solar system in the United States, the system may include solar panels made by Maxeon, an independent company. Maxeon will provide warranty support for SunPower-branded solar panels as follows:
- Systems Installed Before August 5, 2024
If your SunPower residential solar system was installed by an approved SunPower dealer or installer before August 5, 2024, please register your system via the form below by December 31, 2024.
- Systems Installed On or After August 5, 2024
If your SunPower residential solar system was installed by a Maxeon Preferred Partner on or after August 5, 2024, your Maxeon Preferred Partner will register the solar panel warranty with Maxeon and you will receive a warranty certificate. You do not need to register via the form below.
If you have any questions please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions on this topic.
If you have any support issues, please contact your solar installer. Maxeon will work with your installer to support any warranty coverage.
Maxeon - Standing firm with you
Maxeon’s nearly 40 years of solar energy leadership was born as part of the original SunPower Corporation, but Maxeon spun off from SunPower in 2020 as an independent company. We were the innovation engine for SunPower Corp, but since the spin off, Maxeon has been a separate company, and while SunPower Corp shifted its focus to reselling complete systems in North America, Maxeon continued its legacy as a leading manufacturer of solar panels and solutions.
