Are solar panels worth it?
Solar panels can be a worthwhile investment, especially in regions with abundant sunlight and favorable incentives. They offer numerous benefits, including cost savings on electricity bills, reduced environmental impact, and potential increases in property value. Solar panels typically pay for themselves over time through energy savings and potential government incentives, making them an attractive option for many homeowners and businesses interested in sustainable energy solutions and long-term financial benefits. The return on investment, however depends on factors like your energy consumption, location, available incentives, and long-term goals. That's why we recommend to conduct a thorough evaluation and consult with one of our solar professionals to determine the specific economic and environmental advantages for your situation.
How can I attach the Interconnection tabs to the cells?
There are a number of methods but often cell customers use a soldering iron. Also we have an instruction guide that explains how to connect the cell and tabs so feel free to contact us from the inquiry page.
How much energy do solar panels produce?
The amount of energy produced by solar panels depends on several factors, including the size and efficiency of the panels, the amount of sunlight they receive, and their orientation and location. On average, a 1-kilowatt (kW) solar panel system can generate approximately 1,600 to 2,500 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity per year in a location with good sunlight.
How is surplus solar production controlled?
Enphase microinverters offer export control by reducing power production at each microinverter to maintain export to a defined power level—which can be zero for a zero-export site. The microinverters do not offer control of surplus power beyond export to the electricity network.
Are Maxeon solar panels better?
Not all solar systems are created equal. Of all solar panels on the market, Maxeon panels convert more sunlight into electricity. This means our solar panels generate more power than conventional panels1 within the same amount of space and you’ll need fewer solar panels to produce the energy you need. You can maximise your available roof space to choose the best, unobstructed location for electricity production. You'll save more money on electricity costs over time with Maxeon.
Does Cosmetic quality affect the panel’s performance?
Every single panel is electrically tested and inspected for cosmetic criteria at the end of the production line. Regardless of the cosmetic grade, the cosmetic effects do not affect performance or reliability.
